Dan Goldstone is the founder and president of Norfolk Financial Corp., a national debt-buying company involved in the purchase of outstanding business and consumer debt. Dan practiced law for eighteen years, concentrating in the areas of consumer and business collections, bankruptcy and litigation. Throughout his many years in private practice and while serving briefly as a Special Assistant Attorney General to Collect Debts due the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Dan witnessed, first hand, how the irresponsible handling of credit can cause great pain to consumers and their families.

As the father of three daughters Dan is committed to teaching children about consumer finance with language and examples they can understand. He believes financial responsibility must be taught to our children from a young age to insure that they become good financial citizens. He feels educators are missing an opportunity to prepare our children for real life situations where credit is concerned.  For instance, math classes teach vital skills but fail to provide students with the tools to manage a checking account or to understand consumer loans or credit card agreements.

Because of Dan’s beliefs and dedication to showing future generations how credit works, he has been invited to speak about financial responsibility at a number of Massachusetts’ technical vocational and secondary schools.  Presently, Dan volunteers for an organization known as Operation Hope, teaching the Banking on Our Future program.  As a HOPE Corps. volunteer, Dan is helping to provide financial literacy education for youth ages 9 - 18 in and around Boston, Massachusetts.

By talking with young adults and through this web site, Dan hopes to provide easy to understand financial information that can be applied on a daily basis.
